     Gift Of Honesty -Moral Story for Kids in  English

                  A long long time ago there lived a poor painter. His name is Ramu. He was very honest with the people. He lived in a hut in a small village. He usually gets pots, tables, houses, boats, etc... For painting. He worked very hard but his income is sufficient only for two meals.

                           

                                A person in a village came to Ramu and gave work to him. The work is to paint 2 tables, 5 pots and 1 house. Ramu said that he can complete in 5 days but the person told that he has to complete it in 3 days only. Ramu agreed to paint.

                         After painting Ramu said the work is completed. The person gave him only 2000/-and went off. The Ramu thought "I have worked for 3 days continuously and have got very less income.”

                              One fine day the landlord came to Ramu's house.

Their conversation was like this:-

Landlord: hi, ramu. will you come to my house today for painting my boat?

Ramu: sure, sir I will be glad to come to your house for painting your boat.

                            

                              Ramu went with the landlord for painting. When Ramu was painting the boat he found a hole in the middle of the boat. He closed the hole with cement. After the painting was over Ramu went to his house.   

                               The family of the landlord went for their native village. All of them went except for the landlord. The servant of the landlord saw that and told that the boat had a hole but after checking there was no hole in it. The landlord realized that this hole was closed by Ramu.

                              The landlord went to Ramu house and said everything to Ramu. land lord gave his income 500/- and gave a gift for his honesty. The gift was 10,000/-.

Moral: honesty is the best policy.
